Siddharth Shukla's Death: Why Are Young People Like Him Suffering from Heart Attacks?

India was shocked to learn about artist Siddharth Shukla’s sudden death from a severe heart attack. He was 40 years old at the time. As per rumors, the star was sick the night he died and took medication before sleeping.

He didn’t wake up the following morning, and the family members rushed him to the doctor. On arriving, he was confirmed dead, and physicians verified the actor died while sleeping. The television and film industry, as well as fans, were stunned.

The rate of heart attacks in young individuals has grown by a factor of two throughout the years. As a result, cardiovascular incidents are becoming more common in people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.

A heart attack, once thought to be a disease of the elderly, is now shockingly prevalent among persons aged 40 and under, per research.

The researchers assessed persons aged 41-50 years with cardiac arrest victims aged 40 or young. They discovered that perhaps the proportion of cases who have a heart attack at a younger age are around 40 or less.

Star Mandira Bedi’s spouse, Raj Kaushal, died after a cardiac arrest in July this year. So why are younger individuals at such a high risk for a heart attack?

“Although quite tragic, the artist’s demise alludes to the broader issue of rising cardiac ailments among some of the younger generations,” Dr. Ashish Agarwal, Cardiologist, Aakash Healthcare, told in a recent interview. The main factors include a combination of cigarettes and alcohol, irregular sleeping, significant anxiety, and a poor diet which encourages less physical exercise.”

A well-built physique, according to Dr. Agarwal, is not a positive trait. “Every one of these lifestyle modifications is raising the likelihood and occurrence of medical conditions like hypertension and diabetes – we encounter people in their 20s and 30s with heart problems nowadays.

Indeed, according to the World Economic Forum, heart disease and diabetes will kill fifty percent of individuals who end up dying. In addition, many individuals might have had a family background of certain disorders, which raises their risk even more.

It is a common misconception that possessing a well-built physique indicates a healthy body; instead, individuals should adopt appropriate dietary and lifestyle choices, stop drinking, stop smoking altogether, and rest for 7-8 hours.

Those with a family history of the condition or cardiovascular disease should begin monitoring their wellness via yearly screenings in their mid-30s,” according to him.

As per research, the number of persons under the age of 40 who have a cardiac arrest has already been climbing over the past ten years, expanding by 2% each year. “It used to be extremely uncommon to have someone under the age of forty coming in with a cardiac arrest, and now some of these individuals are all in their 20s and mid-30s,” stated Ron Blankstein, an assistant Harvard professor.

Final Remarks

Although Siddharth Shukla has left this earth, he will not be forgotten in our minds, hearts, and souls. He was genuinely a multi-talented entertainer with enormous promise. So let’s all say a prayer for the artist’s soul to rest peacefully and for his household, mourning his death.
